Statement of Community Involvement

The Council is currently consulting on its draft Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) and seeks your views on this important document.

The draft SCI sets out how Gloucester City Council will engage with communities and key stakeholders during the planning process.  This includes the preparation of development plan documents such as the Gloucester City Plan and consulting on planning applications.  The draft SCI sets out who, when and how the Council will consult on these planning matters.

The Council adopted its first SCI in 2005.  Since this time a number of changes have been made to the legislative framework within which the SCI operates and also to internal procedures within the Council.  These changes have made it necessary for the Council to refresh and update this document.

The Council is seeking comments on the draft SCI 2015 between Monday 2 February and Monday 16 March 2015.

Availability of documents

The draft SCI can be downloaded by clicking on the link below.  Hard copies are also available to view at the Gloucester Tourist Information Centre, Guildhall and at all local libraries.  Further information including addresses and opening times available below.
